Total Camper LLC built the Campsite Plus mobile app to help users discover and book RV parks and campgrounds across the United States. This Privacy Policy explains exactly what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used and protected.
Information We Collect
Location (GPS)
When you open the app, we request access to your device location. We use your GPS coordinates to automatically find and display the nearest
campground to you.
What we collect: Your device latitude and longitude at app launch
Why: To identify the closest campground in our network
When: Only when you open the app
Storage: We do not store your GPS coordinates on our servers
You can deny location permission at any time in your device settings. If denied, you will be prompted to search for a campground manually.
Account Information
When you log in to the Campsite Plus app, we collect:
Email address — used for login and account identification
Password — encrypted and never stored in plain text
Profile Information
When you update your profile, we collect:
First name and last name
Phone number
Street address, city, state, and postal code
This information is used to pre-fill your booking details and identify you at the campground.
Booking Information
When you make a reservation, we collect:
Check-in and check-out dates
Number of nights
Camper length in feet
Selected campsite
Payment amount
This information is shared with the campground operator to prepare your reservation.
Payment Information
Payment is processed securely through Square, Inc. When you pay by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay:
Your card details are tokenized directly by Square on your device
We receive only a payment token and never your actual card number, expiry, or CVV
Total Camper LLC does not store any payment card data on our servers
Guest Booking Information
If you book without an account, we collect:
First name and last name
Email address
Phone number
Street address, city, state, and zip code
This information is used solely to process your reservation and create account and is shared with the campground where you are staying.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
Find campgrounds near your location when you open the app
Create and manage your account
Process and confirm campground reservations
Share reservation details with the campground operator
Send booking confirmation notifications
Respond to support requests
Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Information Shared With Third Parties
Campground operators receive your name, booking dates, camper length, and contact details to prepare your reservation.
Square, Inc. receives a payment token only to process your payment.
Data Retention
We retain your account and reservation data for as long as your account is active or as required to fulfill legal obligations. You may request
deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing [email protected].
Data Security
We protect your personal data using encrypted data transmission between the app and our servers, secure password hashing, and Square’s
PCI-compliant payment tokenization so that card data never touches our servers.
Children’s Privacy
The Campsite Plus app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have
collected data from a child under 13, contact us immediately at [email protected].
Your Rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate or outdated information through Account and My Profile in the
app, delete your account and all associated data, and withdraw location permission at any time via your device settings.
